Iolo is a drummer and percussionist from the Vale of Glamorgan. Performing and teaching for a living for the past twenty years, he has always been involved in playing original music, and loves to accompany artists making their own work.
From singer-songwriters and folk musicians; through the trad and celtic genres; to jazz and improvised music; he has recorded dozens of albums and played a thousand shows and more, on this island and around the world.
More recently, his love for the drums has expanded to include singing as well, and current projects such as the Nancy Ackroyd Band and his own Tiger Town Swing allow him to indulge in more vocal work than ever.
His appearance with Sgêr at this year’s Cwlwm Celtaidd festival is a chance to make new music with old friends and collaborators.
