Daniel Calan Jones is a first-year student at the University of Birmingham and is pursuing a BSc Physiotherapy course.
He is a former head boy at Ysgol Plasmawr, Cardiff, a member of the Bro Taf Department, plays drums for the band ‘Wigwam’ and is a keen rugby player. Over the years he has been successful in solo, duo and group stage competitions at the Urdd and National Eisteddfod, including winning the first prize 8 times in a row at the Urdd National solo clog competition. He has been nominated for the Bryn Terfel Scholarship twice (2017 and 2019).
